A stare of owls.
A stare of owls.
What to say of this infamous pair ?
-They have been perching on a 12 foot canvas banner strapped to the flag pole of Barnsley town hall since April 4th 2024, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors to the ‘World of Brian Wildsmith’ exhibitions in his hometown.
They previously sold in countless numbers, first in Brian’s 1967 book, Birds, and now in its contemporary successor, Paws, Claws, Tails & Roars.
-They quite recently adorned Maria Popova’s fascinating blog post - 'A Parliament of Owls and a Murder of Crows: How Groups of Birds Got Their Names, with Wondrous Vintage Illustrations by Brian Wildsmith’ in the quite brilliant The Marginalian
-And now, for the very 1st time, they are available for purchase in the highest quality museum grade print form, as close to the original illustration as has ever been made !
Available in 2 sizes, designed to fit a 30x40 cm or 40x60 cm standard frame.
